Ingredients


65 ml (1/4 cup) lime juice
3 ml (1/2 tsp.) liquid smoke
5 ml (1 tsp.) garlic salt
5 ml (1 tsp.) ground cumin
454 g (1 pound) duBreton pork loin center roast boneless, cut into thin strips
30 ml (2 tbsp.) vegetable oil
1 white onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper or 1/2 red and 1/2 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 large pita breads, halved
  1. In a medium-size bowl, stir together lime juice, liquid smoke, garlic salt and cumin; add pork strips and toss.
  2. Cover and refrigerate 20 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a large heavy skillet; add pork strips and stir-fry over high heat 3 minutes.
  4. Add onion and pepper; stir-fry another 3 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
  5. Serve in split warmed pita bread.
