Sausages and Warm grilled vegetable salad

  • 8 duBreton Organic Mild Italian Sausages
  • 2 onions, halved
  • 4 large tomatoes, halved
  • 2 zucchinis, sliced into rounds
  • 2 lemons, halved
  • 1 Halloumi or grilling cheese (200 g), in ¾ inch slices
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp. chopped dill or basil
  • 1 tbsp. dry oregano
  • ¼ cup chopped green or Kalamata olives
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced


  1. 1.Preheat the BBQ to medium heat.
  2. 2.Place the onions, tomatoes, zucchinis on a large baking sheet and season with salt.
  3. 3.Add the Halloumi or grilling cheese and coat all the ingredients with olive oil.
  4. 4.Grill the onions first. When they are half done, grill the other ingredients: tomatoes, zucchinis, cheese, sausages and lemons.
  5. 5.When the vegetables are golden, the cheese is well grilled and the sausages are well cooked, arrange all ingredients in a serving dish, drizzle with the juice of the grilled lemon, add salad dressing to taste and season with pepper.
  6. 6.For the dressing, mix all ingredients together and if time allows, let the flavours of the ingredients infuse into the oil.


For a taste a little spicy, it is possible to replace the Mild Italian Sausages with Hot Italian Sausages.
